明けましておめでとうございます!!
よいおとしよ!!!
Happy New Years everyone!

In Japan new years is a big deal and a three day thing so it's been fun to see! We get to have an all day pday today which means three more hours of destroying Elder Johnson at ping pong! We've gotten way good at ping pong lately because there's not much to do in Hofu and so that's how pday usually goes. Also we have a game night on Friday where we play ping pong, favorite night haha. Anyways on to more spiritual things...

So this week has been a little bit tougher with finding people. We haven't taught a single lesson in two weeks. It's been a huge learning experience. It just goes to show that this is truly God's work and we need to always rely on Him. I believe that sometimes God gives us these hard times so that we can learn to show our faith, even when we don't see success. Even when we have faith from the beginning and our prayers are not answered, it's not because God has abandoned us, but because there is something larger in store that we cannot comprehend. I'm not sure why we don't always see success, but I know as long as I'm doing my best to always improve and be strictly obedient, that I am doing the Lord's Will.

Cool thing that happened: so we get to an area and these kids are playing baseball. So of course we ask to play and we start hitting some dingers showing these kids how it's done! Then we leave and are housing the neighborhood and eventually we knock on this door of one of the kids we were playing with earlier. We talked to the mom and the whole time the kid was way down for anything. I think the big reason why we were able to talk was cause the kid was way into it cause we were friends already. Then we asked to come back and the kid was like yeah come back! The mom didn't seem too excited but because of the kid we got the return appointment! Way cool! Haha working with kids is the key! Way cool miracle.

Also another cool thing that happened: We went to this huge shrine on Christmas that's super popular and it was way cool! Super big!

Well hope everyone has a happy new year and takes this opportunity to improve for the better!!

Love,
Elder Lim
