The Prince of Peace
Happy Easter!! I have never appreciated Easter more in my life! Even though I didn't get much candy this year! However the meaning has never meant more to me than ever before! I am truly grateful for Christ and His Hand in my life. Without Him, I would be lost. I hope that as you all celebrate Easter today, you remember the true meaning of Easter and utilize the precious gift of the atonement as much as you can! It's kinda sad cause in Japan they don't really celebrate Easter so it wasn't too big, but it was a beautiful day and we were able to share the special video the church made with lots of people!
This week has been full of miracles. It's crazy seeing all the many miracles that happen each day! Every day I come home amazed at all the things that happened throughout the day! It's been such a blessing! I think I have been able to listen to the spirit a lot better now. We were able to stop people in the streets that I know were prepared by the Lord and have been seeing a lot of success! The greatest miracle of all though was perhaps a small and simple thing, but it made me realize how great this work is and what it's all about. My companion and I went out to eat with a less active and at the end of the meal we shared a short message and the Prince of Peace video. After the video his entire countenance changed. He looked truly happy at that moment and I knew that he was feeling the strong spirit that was in the room. Just seeing that change in someone, from drooping in loneliness to complete peace and happiness was the greatest thing I've ever witnessed. This is what it's all about. spreading the Love and Peace that the Gospel provides. Lifting people up and helping them turn to Christ and seeing their entire countenance change from it. It is so rewarding and it made me realize how much I love this work and the people I serve. Every day just gets better! The Lord truly gives back more than you can ever give.
This week I only crashed on my bike once!! And I didn't even fall, thanks to my cat like reflexes I somehow stayed on my feet! Haha my bike has never changed gears the same way again though... Anyways Japan is good, It's starting to warm up! Although every Pday it decides to rain so we can't explore too much. Oh, yesterday there was another miracle, we got our first new investigator!! We haven't had a new one since I got here till now. We had a really good lesson and he said he was interested in hearing more! He's this guy from India so we get to teach in English which is SO MUCH EASIER! Haha although I probably don't teach as simply.
I was your set neighbor from Salt Lake to Minneapolis. I am glad to see you are finding success and enjoying hanami. Gambare zo!
