Another Transfer in Hofu

みんなさん!! Hope I spelled that right

So transfers were this week and I get to stay in Hofu!!! Elder Johnson in transferring down to Iizuka which is in Fukuoka. It's been one heck of a ride and I'm grateful for the time we were able to learn and grow together. My new companion is Elder Hayashi!!! He will be coming from mission headquarters! He was the MSM, So I get to break him back into the field! He is Japanese so I will get to learn lots of Japanese!! It's funny because the Kanji Character in Chinese for Lim is 林 and the Kanji character for Hayashi in Japanese is also 林!! So we're basically the same person!! He's just the Japanese version haha. I also have name tags in Kanji characters so we can wear the same name! Way funny. 

Anyways this week has been awesome!! So the last two weeks we didn't teach a single lesson. But in two days we taught 6!! Way cool!! We've also been finding new investigators again! Such a blessing for sure to see success again. We have this one investigator who I think could go all the way!! It will take some time however. He has such a loving soul though. Yeah so the one week we found nine investigators, we ended up dropping all of them. But now we have 3 solid new investigators!! We've been teaching a lot too!! 

Another cool thing is that we found this family and the dad is from England so we has a sweet British accent. His kids were way cool and of course crazy. We got to teach in English which was cool cause that's a rare opportunity. He seemed interested even though he wasn't religious and said he'd read the Book of Mormon! Way cool! 

Oh also funny thing, so this family from Tokyo came to our ward and they were crazy! 6 kids, all insane! This one little boy was "kancho" ing everyone, which includes sticking your fingers in the other persons butt... So, super awkward... I was not very comfortable with that hahaha. Way fun family though. The little brother poured soda in the older brothers food and he got so mad he smacked the little brother, I couldn't help but laugh and reminisce on those times me and my brothers fought.

Breaking Records!

What a week!! Things have been crazy lately! After finally telling people that I'm going home we've been way busy with appointments! We also had a goodbye party at the church cause next week not everyone can come. Also this week at church was AMAZING! So a less active's wife and 4 kids (who are all active) finally returned home from America and it was so awesome having a full family at church!! Also a family from Aichi came and visited for obon. And then also a less active member came for the first time since moving to yatsushiro branch! All in all I think we had about 21 members at church!! That's a record by far! It was so fun! Also this week we made these sick notebooks for the members to use when they study the Scriptures! There's also a lot of questions that are in the Come Follow Me text that they can write in them. Scripture study is way important so we're hoping that they will all use the notebooks to enrich their studies! This week was also crazy

Happy Halloween

Hello! What a week! They fly by faster and faster! It's still pretty warm down here in Okinawa so we're way blessed! This week was transfer week, but luckily we didn't transfer so nothing too crazy on our end. But the Oroku Elders are both new and it's been fun working with such great Elders. Everyone is from Utah haha!  So this week we weren't able to meet with any investigators. We've actually kind of had to put them all on the shelf and start fresh again. Our main focus right now is contacting less actives and visiting members. We've seen a ton of miracles from doing so! There are a ton of lessons actives here. We met this one old lady who didn't even know she was a member! She was like, "oh yeah I was baptized but I don't really go to church or anything, like husband was a member though!" it's pretty funny to see, that's back before they had a baptismal interview and requirements haha.  We did meet with one potential

Wait the Extra Hour

Ola This week was awesome!! We were able to set a new baptismal date with another investigator! Her name is Riyo, from Osaka! We met her housing last week. We pressed the intercom on her door and at first she quickly said no to us, but then as we were leaving, she said wait! And asked if we were the American missionaries that teaches free English class. We said we were and so she was like, "I'm in the middle of work, come back tomorrow." so we go back the next day and she's not there, but we sit on her apartment stairs and drink drinks from a nearby vending machine cause it was pday, and we going to start housing the area at 6. It was 5pm and we didn't really have time to go home so we just decided to sit and wait. I stood up at 6 so start going and she walks up the stairs right at that time! She forgot and thought the appointment was at 6! She turns out to be way awesome and we are able to teach her the restoration and she agreed to meet again. We taught
