Wait the Extra Hour

This week was awesome!! We were able to set a new baptismal date with another investigator! Her name is Riyo, from Osaka! We met her housing last week. We pressed the intercom on her door and at first she quickly said no to us, but then as we were leaving, she said wait! And asked if we were the American missionaries that teaches free English class. We said we were and so she was like, "I'm in the middle of work, come back tomorrow." so we go back the next day and she's not there, but we sit on her apartment stairs and drink drinks from a nearby vending machine cause it was pday, and we going to start housing the area at 6. It was 5pm and we didn't really have time to go home so we just decided to sit and wait. I stood up at 6 so start going and she walks up the stairs right at that time! She forgot and thought the appointment was at 6! She turns out to be way awesome and we are able to teach her the restoration and she agreed to meet again. We taught her again and she just soaked everything up. She's way impressed with missionaries and also with the church and the message. We taught her the plan of salvation and invited her to baptism and she said yes! We scheduled her date on September 29th, the same as Sachiko.
Less good news: so this week we taught Hisada tithing and she agreed to pay it when she got baptized. But then she said her parents are kind of opposed to her being baptized and they want time to think about it. So she won't be getting baptized in the coming week. We were able to push it back though and it seems like by that time her parents will be okay with it. We are planning on writing them a letter. We rescheduled her date for the 29th of September as well. So if all goes well, we will have 3 baptisms on the 29th! Way crazy haha! It's a week after transfers though, so if I transfer out I will be very sad haha.
This past week, our ward mission leader moved to Hawaii to go to school at BYUH so we got a new ward mission leader who just got back from his mission in Kobe mission. He's way sick and already jointed in 4 of our lessons!
Sachiko is progressing very well! She reads a lot on her own, so when we taught her the plan of salvation she already knew a lot! Whenever we teach her and meet her, the spirit is so strong. She is so prepared!!
I love these children of God with all my heart!
