Weeks Into Days
When I first arrived, a good friend I knew here told me that the days turn into weeks and the weeks turn into days. However this is not always the case. Each day seems to grow shorter, It feels like everyday I learn so much and experience so much that time just flies by. I am enjoying my time here and taking advantage of every moment that I have to learn. The language can be difficult at times and very stressful to learn, however I put my whole trust in God that he will help me. During our weekly Devotional, Peter F. Meurs of the Seventy shared a scripture regarding times you might feel inadequate. He shared Exodus 4:12 "Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say." I know that as long as I keep on trusting in God, he will help me learn the language.
The hardest part of the MTC is probably having to teach lessons in Japanese. However, these are also the greatest learning experiences. Every time we teach I realize what I need to work on to become better at the language, and better at teaching and bringing the Spirit.
So far though I love every moment here! The food isn't too bad and I even had some orange juice and didn't get sick! My companion and district are the most spiritual and fun people to be around!
Hope everyone is doing well! がんばって ください!!
