Making Breakthroughs
So we got transfer calls today and me and elder Balute are both staying!! Hard to believe that I'm going onto my last transfer! It's crazy how time flies... Also first time being with the same companion for 3 transfers! I'm grateful for this time to keep working hard and helping yatsushiro to grow!
So it's rainy season over here and so we've been getting a lot of rain recently! It's been pretty crazy but fun! Haha I popped my bike tire on our way home Monday night and so we had to walk home which took about an hour. Because it was late at night and we had to leave to go to kumamoto early in the morning, we had no time to fix my bike and all the shops were closed. So a member let us borrow their mamachari! The classic Japanese road bike! Haha I felt like a school kid riding around! I was able to get my bike fixed when we got home from kumamoto so it worked out OK.
Also we had exchanges in Kumamoto again and I accidently left our pocket wifi on the bus and so we took another bus and tried chasing the bus down to get it, but then we couldn't find it at the last stop so we called the bus company and was able to get it the next day, but it was super stressful! Haha so a lot of unfortunate things happened thus week... But it's all ok now!
So one awesome thing this week is that we were able to have a huge break through with one of the less actives we're working with! We got him to come with us to another members house and teach us how to play shogi! (a game kind of like chess) Which I wrecked him at even though it was my first time playing... Then he also came to a dinner with other members and us on Sunday and they all talked about how much they missed having him at church! So I think we're really close to getting him back thanks to the ministering efforts of everyone!
We've also been making breakthroughs with some of our investigators! One of them hasn't come to church yet and is having a hard time praying, but after church this Sunday she texted us and said she thought about coming to church and she almost did! That's a big step! Our other investigator that has come to church a lot, came this week and this week the mission president and his wife visited, and they talked to her and she felt the spirit so strong she burst into tears and felt so much love! We testified to her that that was the spirit. She also said that when she prayed after that she felt a very warm feeling in her heart and started crying again. I definitely think from here on out she's going to be progressing a lot! Also another investigator we've been teaching finally opened up to us about her objections of joining a church, and we were able to overcome those! I think from here on out she is going to progress a lot more! So things are looking up heading into this new transfer! Also I've upped my cake game and now my chocolate cakes are even better! Pictures still to come...
Also this week I learned a little bit how kendo works from some of our potential investigators! They also gave me a kendo sword which was way nice of them, hopefully I can figure out how to get it home...
