Miracles Unceasing
Hello!
This week was Elder Balute's birthday so we partied a lot! Haha a lot of less active members we are working with took us out to eat and it was so good! Also a member and our investigator planned a surprise birthday party for him at our English class! They gave us traditional Japanese clothing as presents! Haha it was a lot of fun! Also last Monday a former missionary that served in Yatsushiro 13 years ago came with his family and we had a potluck and they also performed some musical numbers! Not a lot of people came, but we were able to build a good relationship with some less actives that came and also a less actives son who is not a member! I introduced Pathway program to him cause he's trying to get into college and he seemed interested! Hopefully that will someday lead to his conversion!
Also one night we decided to visit One of the less actives we're working with and she told us she's sick and has to go to the hospital for a long time. She was sick last year and almost died but miraculously got better. She might die this time if she doesn't get a transplant which is way sad. So she called us over before she goes to the hospital and we had a meal together.
Some miracles this week: we had two less actives come to church this week! They both seem like they will start coming a lot more often from now on!
Housing miracle: so I felt like we should knock on these apartments we always pass by on the way to an investigators house. So we are knocking and someone answers the answering box in English! We were both way surprised and then they come to the door and it's a girl that sometimes comes to English class! She's actually from America and here teaching English, but comes to our English class with her friends. I heard from other missionaries before that her mom is actually a member, but ended up joining a different church. We never had a chance to talk to this girl about it before though and so we were able to talk to her about that church and her beliefs. She didn't accept our invitation to hear our message, but she accepted a book of Mormon and said she would read it!!
Friday we made cakes for volleyball night that we go to every Friday night because it was one of the mom's birthday and I told her I'd make her a cake haha! And so all the kids and parents loved our cake! And of course all the moms asked for the RECIPE!! We haven't been able to invite them to listen to the gospel yet, but we have a really good relationship with them and sometimes have opportunities to talk about the church! We're planning on trying to invite them soon!
Our investigators aren't progressing very much so that's been disappointing, but we're determined to find more this transfer so we've been housing more and it's awesome!!
Love
