Zone Conference

Hey fam and friends!

This week was awesome! Every week is awesome but this one was way awesome!
So some highlights!
We had zone conference this week and I got so much Revelation! We had some members come and we talked about how we can work better with members and what the members want missionaries to do. It really opened my eyes and I feel like we've been able to work with members a lot better.
We went and played basketball on Friday night and there are a lot of less active kids and former investigators there. I've been able to make really good relationships with them over the last few weeks! I talked to one of the kids and I asked him why he never got baptized and he said he was just busy, but he still wants to get baptized! He's busy on Sundays though but we'll be trying to meet with him again!
Saturday we had a meal with a less active members and her daughter. It was way awesome and I'm super determined on getting them back to church! They are such amazing people and it's so sad to not have them at church!
I also was able to learn some guitar from the daughter cause she's like pro at guitar, so I've been picking up some talents haha!
Another cool thing that happened this week is that I came home one day and there was a whole MEAL on our doorstep! So a while back I just chatted up some neighbors in our elevator while going up to our apartment and they gave us some food from Costco, and so one day I stuck some cookies in their door and in return they dropped off a meal for us 😂 gotta love these people!!
Last miracle is on Sunday night we visited this less active that lives way far and on top of a mountain and missionaries don't usually visit her cause of that reason, but the ward kept asking us to visit her so we did and she was so happy! She said that nobody really talks at church anymore so it wasn't fun so she kinda lost motivation to come. But we just talked to her and shared our love we have for her and she said she wants to come to church next week! It's been so long since she's come!!
I know that if we just simply reach out a hand to these people, then they will return to the fold!

Breaking Records!

What a week!! Things have been crazy lately! After finally telling people that I'm going home we've been way busy with appointments! We also had a goodbye party at the church cause next week not everyone can come. Also this week at church was AMAZING! So a less active's wife and 4 kids (who are all active) finally returned home from America and it was so awesome having a full family at church!! Also a family from Aichi came and visited for obon. And then also a less active member came for the first time since moving to yatsushiro branch! All in all I think we had about 21 members at church!! That's a record by far! It was so fun! Also this week we made these sick notebooks for the members to use when they study the Scriptures! There's also a lot of questions that are in the Come Follow Me text that they can write in them. Scripture study is way important so we're hoping that they will all use the notebooks to enrich their studies! This week was also crazy

Happy Halloween

Hello! What a week! They fly by faster and faster! It's still pretty warm down here in Okinawa so we're way blessed! This week was transfer week, but luckily we didn't transfer so nothing too crazy on our end. But the Oroku Elders are both new and it's been fun working with such great Elders. Everyone is from Utah haha!  So this week we weren't able to meet with any investigators. We've actually kind of had to put them all on the shelf and start fresh again. Our main focus right now is contacting less actives and visiting members. We've seen a ton of miracles from doing so! There are a ton of lessons actives here. We met this one old lady who didn't even know she was a member! She was like, "oh yeah I was baptized but I don't really go to church or anything, like husband was a member though!" it's pretty funny to see, that's back before they had a baptismal interview and requirements haha.  We did meet with one potential

Wait the Extra Hour

Ola This week was awesome!! We were able to set a new baptismal date with another investigator! Her name is Riyo, from Osaka! We met her housing last week. We pressed the intercom on her door and at first she quickly said no to us, but then as we were leaving, she said wait! And asked if we were the American missionaries that teaches free English class. We said we were and so she was like, "I'm in the middle of work, come back tomorrow." so we go back the next day and she's not there, but we sit on her apartment stairs and drink drinks from a nearby vending machine cause it was pday, and we going to start housing the area at 6. It was 5pm and we didn't really have time to go home so we just decided to sit and wait. I stood up at 6 so start going and she walks up the stairs right at that time! She forgot and thought the appointment was at 6! She turns out to be way awesome and we are able to teach her the restoration and she agreed to meet again. We taught
