Minister Everyday
Not a lot of time this week so I'll keep it short and sweet!
Miracle!
So we have been meaning to visit this less active member who has a 10 year old son who hasn't been baptized yet. But they leave SUPER far. And it's all uphill to get there. But Sunday we decided to go! It was a good exercise! Haha luckily she was home and we were able to meet her kids and sister who is also less active! They were way nice and she wants her son to get baptized so she's going to make more of an effort to make it to church! However it's been crazy especially since she has a mentally handicapped son. She said she wants help from the ward, but so far hasn't had any. That's why ministering is so important!!! It makes me sad when I talk to someone and they say they haven't done any of their ministering. It's so important! This is not a church where you go two hours a week and call it good. This is a lifestyle of everyday striving to be like Christ and helping those in need. Not even those in need, everyone, the people around you too!
Another cool thing that happened was we had family home evening with some members and they invited their friends! We were able to have a way good time and build a relationship with them. The daughter of their friend's who also came was a former investigator and wanted to get baptized, but couldn't cause her parents thought she was too young. That was three years ago now and she's graduating high school soon so we might try teaching her again!
We also went and played basketball this week at an open gym night thing at a middle school and was able to meet two less active young men. I was able to build a relationship with one of them and also humble him at basketball at the same time.. Just kidding 😂
One new thing we are doing is that we started a group chat on Line (messenger app they use in Japan) that is a lot of the ward leaders and report everyday what we do and it's helped us get closer to the ward leaders and work with them better!
Anyways that's about the week! Love you all!
