Knock on That Door
Hey!
Not a ton of time this week! So we had a zone pday today so we don't have time! But we all went to Miyajima, a famous tourist sport in Hiroshima, and hiked the mountain! It was awesome cause they had oysters and I love oysters! We also had some less actives and eikaiwa students come which was way fun!
Tons of miracles this week! I had two exchanges with new missionaries and they brought about so many miracles!
So one night we tried visiting a less active in this danchi, and she wasn't home. We started heading down the stairs and I felt like we should knock on this door as we were passing by it down the stairs. But I was like, eh it's okay and kept going. But then Elder Megargel (one of the new missionaries) was like wait hold on let's knock on this door. THE SAME DOOR that I felt prompted to knock on but didn't. so we knocked and met this way nice 20 year old kid who was friends with a member already! he also wanted to learn English and had tons of interest in eikaiwa. We were also able to give him a Book of Mormon!
I know that God wanted us to meet this guy and he's been preparing him! It was no coincidence that we both felt prompted to knock on the door. And I'm so humbled and grateful for Elder Megargel's faith and courage!
Another miracle is that we decided to visit this former investigator that I've never met before last night and we get there and in front of the door it says "welcome Lucas" I was like who's Lucas? But anyways we knock and they come out and are like, oh you're not Lucas, but come in! Apparently Lucas was a missionary that taught them like 4 years ago and he was visiting from America that night. So he came like 3 minutes after us and we ended crashing their dinner. It was way crazy timing cause I never thought to visit them before. But because we met them with that past missionary, we were able to build a way good relationship and also get way good food... Haha!
We had stake conference this week as well and it was way awesome. Elder Wada came and gave way good trainings to the members on how to minister and have more Christ like love for those we are assigned to minister. I really felt like that's what this place needs! More love!
That's all I have time for!
Love
Elder Lim
