The Longest Ride
This week went by so fast!
One highlight! So we visited this less active guy that Elder Arpellida has been trying to meet for awhile and he wasn't home so we called him. He said he was at the train station so we go and meet him there. He was super nice! We bought cheesecake tarts and walked to the church together and ate while talking. First time he'd been in a church building in like 20 years! He joined the church when he was in high school and joined the military soon after and hasn't gone to church since. He's now in his 40's. He's had a tough family situation. He doesn't really remember much about the church either but he's willing to learn again. Way solid guy who we are focusing a lot on now.
This week we also biked probably the farthest I've ever biked to visit a member. So this ward actually used to be 2 units and a lot of the members that came from the other unit live super far. So I didn't think it was that far, but it was a long bike ride to visit this member haha but we found out she was 12 kids and they're all less active. So we're gonna try working with the ones she lives with still!
Today we went to the Hiroshima bomb museum and peace park. It was my third peace park in Japan and it's way cool going to each one. It's crazy to see the destruction from the bomb. A lot of innocent people suffered. I do hope that the world does not have to result to such horrific solutions again! I know that through Christ peace is possible, not just in the world, but peace within as well.
Love you all!
