Little by Little

Hello!

Another awesome week in the books! Not a lot of time but here's the run down.

Tuesday we went out to eat with one of our potentials and we're able to introduce family history to him. He has interest and yesterday we also taught him how to make banana chocolate cake and then showed him the family history app! He might not have interest in taking lessons now, but we have a way good relationship and have been able to teach him the gospel naturally and I'm sure one day he'll accept the gospel! He's like the nicest guy and way solid!

We had exchanges in kumamoto this week and it was so much fun!! I had the opportunity to teach one of their newer investigators, a 80 year old lady. So she's the older sister of kind of a less active member. But the members have a strong testimony, they probably just have a hard time coming to church because of health reasons. Anyways they want her to get baptized so they asked the elders to teach her and when we taught her I felt like she was so prepared! So even though we didn't plan on it, we were able to set a baptismal date with her! Way awesome experience! Her son and husband passed away last year so she wants to see them again and knows that can only be done through getting baptized. Way sweet lady! She was tearful as she described the love she felt from her younger brother and is way excited to get baptized!! Also on that exchange, we were on our way to visit a less active and we stopped a 16 year old kid on the street. We introduced who God and Christ were and in the end he said "I have interest in キリスト教" (Christianity) in English just like that haha! First time anyone has ever said that to me! We were able to give him a Book of Mormon! He was also looking for his wallet at the time to we offered to pray with him so he could find it. By then his 3 other friends that were helping him find his wallet joined our conversation. So with all 4 kids we prayed together on the street! Way awesome experience! Hopefully he finds his wallet!

Saturday we took a field trip to Hitoyoshi! A city in our area that I doubt missionaries have been to for several years! It's about an hour train ride away. There is an active couple that just moved there so we set an appointment to visit them. Before visiting we rented bikes and went around visiting less active members in our records. We didn't meet any, but we did meet their relatives! We were able to talk a little about the gospel. Sadly, while traveling Elder Balute's tablet bounced out of his bike basket and now it's broken... Haha he's been mourning all week.
Also that same night there was this Ghost Festival and so we went with a less active member and her son. They had like a haunted house thing that we went through that was pretty fun. I guess the place is famous for having had a ghost a long time ago. They gave us a ride home and we were able to build a good relationship. She came to church the next day even though she wasn't planning on it! It's been so fun having her back!

Yesterday I finally told everyone at church I'm going home this transfer and they all got mad I didn't say anything earlier haha!

We also had a few lessons with investigators and they are progressing little by little! The one that wouldn't pray finally said she prayed for the first time!! Didn't feel anything but that's okay! Comes with time! Also the other one is seriously considering coming to church finally!

I love this gospel
I love these people
