Transfers!

Hey!

Transfer calls this week! I'm going to...... Itoman Area!! Same ward, pretty much the same area!! I'm whitewashing the sisters out of their area. Second whitewash in a row haha! That means both me and my companion will be new to the area. But the thing is, I already know the ward members and the Itoman Sister's investigators. So it won't be too hard. My new companion will be Elder Campbell from Pullman Washington! Never met him before, but heard he's good so should be fun.

This week was way good! Not as many crazy things happened, but it was still fun. Brother Nagayama got confirmed! The members are doing a way good job fellowshipping him too! We also got a way sick referral from a member! Member missionary work is the best! It's the members neighbor, way young nice family. She has been befriending them for months and was like, as soon as I met them, I knew they needed the Gospel! So she finally introduced us and we're e going to have dinner together today and teach them about eternal families! It's funny cause we actually procelyted the guy on the street a while ago, but he said no to us. Goes to show how powerful members are! Also, we met this guy from Finland and he wants to come to church! We found the apartment where all the foreigners live, it's always interesting talking to them haha! 

I love Oroku and I will definitely miss this area and all the investigators we have, but I know Elder Barlow will take good care of them. I love this work and these people, I know that this is God's true church on the earth today.

Breaking Records!

What a week!! Things have been crazy lately! After finally telling people that I'm going home we've been way busy with appointments! We also had a goodbye party at the church cause next week not everyone can come. Also this week at church was AMAZING! So a less active's wife and 4 kids (who are all active) finally returned home from America and it was so awesome having a full family at church!! Also a family from Aichi came and visited for obon. And then also a less active member came for the first time since moving to yatsushiro branch! All in all I think we had about 21 members at church!! That's a record by far! It was so fun! Also this week we made these sick notebooks for the members to use when they study the Scriptures! There's also a lot of questions that are in the Come Follow Me text that they can write in them. Scripture study is way important so we're hoping that they will all use the notebooks to enrich their studies! This week was also crazy

Happy Halloween

Hello! What a week! They fly by faster and faster! It's still pretty warm down here in Okinawa so we're way blessed! This week was transfer week, but luckily we didn't transfer so nothing too crazy on our end. But the Oroku Elders are both new and it's been fun working with such great Elders. Everyone is from Utah haha!  So this week we weren't able to meet with any investigators. We've actually kind of had to put them all on the shelf and start fresh again. Our main focus right now is contacting less actives and visiting members. We've seen a ton of miracles from doing so! There are a ton of lessons actives here. We met this one old lady who didn't even know she was a member! She was like, "oh yeah I was baptized but I don't really go to church or anything, like husband was a member though!" it's pretty funny to see, that's back before they had a baptismal interview and requirements haha.  We did meet with one potential

Wait the Extra Hour

Ola This week was awesome!! We were able to set a new baptismal date with another investigator! Her name is Riyo, from Osaka! We met her housing last week. We pressed the intercom on her door and at first she quickly said no to us, but then as we were leaving, she said wait! And asked if we were the American missionaries that teaches free English class. We said we were and so she was like, "I'm in the middle of work, come back tomorrow." so we go back the next day and she's not there, but we sit on her apartment stairs and drink drinks from a nearby vending machine cause it was pday, and we going to start housing the area at 6. It was 5pm and we didn't really have time to go home so we just decided to sit and wait. I stood up at 6 so start going and she walks up the stairs right at that time! She forgot and thought the appointment was at 6! She turns out to be way awesome and we are able to teach her the restoration and she agreed to meet again. We taught
