Taco Night in Kumamoto
Hello!
Well one transfer down and a couple more to go! It's crazy how fast time flies...
So transfer calls came today and I'm staying here In Yatsushiro with Elder Balute! Looking forward to another awesome transfer!
This week was full of miracles! I started focusing more on the Book of Mormon and was able to hand out more this week than I did my whole time in Hiroshima! We had a Tacos Night in Kumamoto when we were on exchanges and it was so nice eating Mexican for the first time in forever! Haha I was also able to talk to a lot of people and got one of the college students there to come play basketball with us at 6:30 in the morning at the church! At the end we were able to give her a book of Mormon and challenge her to read it!
On Wednesday we met with a Potential investigator and ate McDonald's with him. Way chill kid and at the end we gave him a Book of Mormon and he said he would read it! Then at English class we were able to talk to more students at the end about the church and some had interest in learning more so we gave them a Book of Mormon and challenged them to read it! The only way for people to find out if our message is actually true is to read and find out for themselves!
One interesting experience we had this week is instead of studying in the morning like usual, because it was a nice day we decided to go out and try to visit some former investigators. We knocked on this one house and at first the lady that answered said that she wasn't feeling well, but then her husband came out and was way nice and let us inside and we sat and talked for an hour or so. Here's the catch, the husband is a Pakistan guy that is 30 years old, and the lady, his wife, is 53!!! They just got married a few months ago and he just moved in with her last month! And he doesn't speak Japanese, and she doesn't speak Pakistan or English!! The power of technology and Google translate....
Anyways we were pretty surprised by this and to be honest a little uncomfortable, but we built a pretty good relationship and hopefully will be able to introduce more about the church when we come back!
We're starting to see more progress with a lot of less actives we're working with so things are looking up!
Got a new niece now too so that's cool! Can't wait to meet my nieces! Haha
Love you all!
